  The Crucible Cast Members - Fringe Festival - Summer 2011
andio.m

Andio M.(Ezekiel Cheever) is a sophomore.  He played Peter Pan in the school’s last musical, Peter Pan.  He is very glad to be in this phenomenal production.    Andio has only been acting for about two years and plans to continue acting for a LOOONG TIME >:D!  Watch out!

 anna.b   Anna B.(Betty Parris) is a junior at #9 who greatly enjoys everything and anything theater related.  She has found this play to be a fascinating and insightful experience into the human mind.  Other than theater, she enjoys gymnastics, photography, guitar, and voice.
 ashton.s Ashton S.(Francis Nurse) had lead roles at the Nate Holden Performing Arts Center Theater in several productions and receives training in acting, voice, and dance at the Amazing Grace Conservatory under the direction of Wendy Raquel Robinson and Denise Dowse.  His special skills include singing, song-writing, composing, directing, and improvisation.
   
   
 blanca.p.jpg Blanca P.(Ann Putnam)is super excited to be a part of this show.  It’s a dream come true for her.  Theatre is her life and she’s happy to have this opportunity to experience this once in a lifetime moment with the rest of this amazing cast.
   
 clementine.l.jpg Clementine L.(Susanna Walcott)studied with Polish theater company, Chorea, and at CSSSA.  She participated in original works by playwrights Alison Carey, cofounder of Cornerstone Theater, and Victoria Grice at Plaza de la Raza through the Community Arts Partnership where she continues to train.  Clementine also plays soccer and the piano. 
 dominique.j.jpg Dominique J.(Alice Parker)a junior here at VAPA, is performing her second production here at VAPA (she was an Aztec Warrior in La Llorona) and her fifth production overall.  She enjoys singing, writing, and reading.  “I want to thank God and everyone who supported me in getting to Scotland!  God Bless!”
 eushela.q.jpg Eushela Q(Marshal Herrick/Set Crew) has been a part of numerous plays including VAPA High’s La Llorona and Peter Pan!  Eushela enjoys playing the guitar and songwriting.  Eushela attains happiness by making people laugh!  Eushela loves her friends and family and thanks them for all the love and support!  Peace! =)!
 frannie.w.jpg At a young age, Frannie W. (Mercy Lewis) mother instilled in her a great love for colonial times.  She is thrilled that she will be able to finally live out her fantasy.  Apart from her colonial studies, Frannie Whelan enjoys jungle gyms and sitting in traffic.
   
 jackie.r.jpg Jacqueline R(Elizabeth Proctor)is a senior at Central Los Angeles High School #9!  She is so grateful for the opportunity of having a role in such a powerful play.  She loves her talented fellow cast members and could not think of a better cast to work with in her last year!
 jacqueline.k.jpg Jacqueline K.(Elizabeth Booth)current eleventh grader, has always had a passion for the arts.  Aside from theatre, Jacqueline’s interests include music, photography, fine art, and singing.  She is very excited to be a part of The Crucible, and finds it to be a very intriguing and insightful play.
 jessie.a.jpg Like a ray of light from the heavens, Jessamyn A.(Reverend Hale) lands on the stage with the holy promise of satisfaction.  She would like to thank her dogs for keeping her awake at night so she can further train her voice to resemble that of a velvet waterfall.  Enjoy.  The Cruible.

Juan A.(John Proctor)is a senior at VAPA.  The Crucible is his third production here (General Alonzo – La Llorona, Captain Hook/Smee – Peter Pan) and he is incredibly grateful to be a part of the show.  He dedicates every performance to his mother, without whom he wouldn’t be here.  “Love you!”

 

   
 kara.cjpg Kara C(Rebecca Nurse/Mary Easty)is a member of this year’s senior class of 2011!  The theatre-based student can be found working diligently on the Thespian board and Leadership class here at VAPA.  When asked what she wanted people to know about her, Kara stated, “I am here by God’s grace!”
 kate.s.jpg Kate S(Judge Hathorne) is a teenager full of angst whose purpose in life is to eradicate ignorance, pursue community in a distanced generation, and be a part of something bigger than herself.  She dedicates her performance to that homeless lady who flipped her off.  “The shadow proves the sunshine.” – Jon Foreman
 katy.m.jpg   Katy Martinez (Martha Corey) is a fun loving burst of sunshine who is ecstatic to be cast in such a beautifully written play. The chance to go to Edinburgh is a once in a lifetime oppurtunity that she is forever grateful for. With her sky rocketing GPA and three ap classes she is fully aware of what it means to carry her weight all the way to the front of the stage. She has had a passion for theatre her whole life and pleads to all gracious donars to donate to her humble abode of a school and fellow classmates.

Kevin G(Mr. Putnam)is a junior at VAPA. This is his time to shine among the stars! He is thrilled to be apart of The Crucible and loves his fellow cast members, as they adore him. This is his second production here at VAPA. He aspires to be a performer and a double major in psychology and acting. Edinburgh will complete the end of his junior year, it is an oppurtunity that contains all of his wild dreams all rolled into one.

 mariah.k.jpg Mariah K (Abigail Williams) is a junior at VAPA High School.  She has had roles in musicals such as Into the Woods, The Wiz, and Peter Pan.  She enjoys photography and drama.  After graduation, she wishes to continue acting and traveling.  She is elated and honored to be participating in The Crucible.
 minnie.s.jpg Minnie S(Mary Warren) could be called an “explorer” but that would be like calling a “duck” a “duckling”.  It would be undermining all her gallant memories as a soldier of the stage.  Yes, rather she be knighted as more than the “explorer”.  Rather, she be called “The Miracle Schedeen”.  Believe on.
pablo.l.jpg Pablo L(Judge Danforth)is an aspiring artist who became interested in theatre a year ago.  From the start, he was grown profoundly as an artist.  His most compelling inspiration is his fellow colleagues.  Watching them advance in their skills has fueled his eagerness to become the best in everything he does.
 tabitha.e.jpg Tabitha E(Tituba)is a young, striving actress that takes pride in her work and is proud of what she does.  “I do what I do to make people smile and bring joy to their lives.  I’m a story teller, a re-enactor.”  This cast will make you think about life.
 terrance.t.jpg Terrance T:(Giles Corey)Inspired by music at age three, his charisma and natural zeal for performing arts blossomed into several Stage/Film/TV credits.  Terrance thanks God, family, all performing arts/academic teachers, mentors, and talent agents for this incredible opportunity as cast in this phenomenal VAPA production.  Performance dedicated to his Dad!
 troy.b.jpg Troy B.(Reverend Parris) Say it.  Say it out loud.  Tell me.  Tell me you felt that.  That feeling.  That feeling in the deep of your lungs that said, “I’m about to say something… great.”  Did saying his name make you hurt?  Make you love?  Make you think?  Freedom.  Fire.  Troy Basoren. 
 tulsi.m.jpg Tulsi M(Rebecca Nurse/Mary Easty)is an aspiring actor that is excited to make her mark on the theater world, doing plays like Romeo and Juliet and Peter Pan.  She is thrilled to be doing The Crucible and enjoys working with everyone in the cast.
