School Site Council (SSC)

The School Site Council/Governing Board is responsible for implementing the school's mission and vision to ensure all students receive A–G courses, experience a comprehensive arts education in their discipline, and are prepared to pursue their personal and professional goals in a 21st-century world. The SSC/SGC comprises parents, students, faculty, and administrators who are elected annually by their stakeholder groups. The council meets at least six times per year and makes decisions with advisement from committees outlined below.

Instructional Leadership Team (ILT)
The Instructional Leadership Team (ILT) uses data analysis to identify students' academic needs and to plan professional development to address those needs. ILT meets twice monthly and comprises department chairs, academy lead teachers, the bilingual coordinator, the Title I coordinator, the Special Education Department Chair and administrative staff.
Operations Leadership Team (OLT)
The Operational Leadership Team (OLT) oversees non-instructional school-wide needs and issues; i.e., approving special bell schedules, updating faculty and student handbooks, planning and implementing discipline policies, organizing required safety drills. OLT meets as needed and comprises teachers, parents, students, and administrative staff.
English Learners Advisory Council (ELAC)

The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) assists our EL students in their academic achievement and re-designation rate. ELAC evaluates EL data, participates in the design and implementation of the EL program and makes recommendations to the SSC on EL intervention and categorical expenditures. ELAC meets at least once a month and comprises teachers, administrators, and parents of students in the English Learner (EL) Program. Parents are elected annually by their peers.
