Additional Graduation Course Descriptions

Health Course

Students can complete the Health course any time during their four years of high school. There are several options to completing the health course free of charge. Students can attend a local adult school, community college or Olin Virtual Academy with counselor referral.

Service Learning

This component is a community-based project completed during the student's junior year in their US History class. An example of this project may be a letter to the Mayor to discuss a community concern and provide their opinion of address the concern.

Career Pathways

This occurs during a Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) meeting with students' academic counselor.

College Preparatory Courses

These are courses that exceed that minimum required courses for graduation. These courses can include academic and/or arts classes.
