Arts Enrichment

Grand Arts Musical Theatre Performance Program

This program offers an in-depth training in voice, acting and dance for the musical theatre. Classes are taught by industry professionals and feature master classes with guest artists from stage and screen. Classes meet 3:30–5:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Participants receive training in scene work, dance technique, and solo/ensemble singing. The works created in this program will be featured to invited audiences throughout the year.

Colburn's JumpStart Young Musicians Program

The Jumpstart Young Musicians Program is a comprehensive, scholarship-supported program that provides pathways for personal and artistic excellence to students who demonstrate a commitment to music education. With a full music curriculum—designed specifically for 70 students grades 6–8—each student experiences an immersive music curriculum. Upon completion of Jumpstart, students who demonstrate an intermediate-to-advanced level of musicianship will be invited to continue their scholarship-supported music education at Colburn through 12th grade so they may develop the artistry, discipline, and confidence needed to catapault them into college.

This fall, the Colburn School will hold three Jumpstart rehearsals a week on the beautiful Grand Arts campus. In addition, the school will provide scholarships for up to 10 students in attendance at Grand Arts to join Jumpstart for intensive, after-school training. CalArts at Grand

Our partner California Institute of the Arts offers PM Academy enrichment courses throughout the year.
These year-long after-school programs in Photography, Digital Video and Animation, Modern Dance, and World Dance are each offered once a week for three hours per class and are tuition-free. These courses are taught by Cal Arts faculty artists and Cal Arts students, with a low 4:1 student-teacher ratio.

Everybody Dance! at Grand

Everybody Dance! holds weekly classes in hip-hop and other popular dance styles for interested students from all over Los Angeles. Courses are taught by professional instructors from the Gabriella Foundation.

Arts Workshops

PM Academy workshops are offered throughout the year in partnership with CalArts, Colburn, and many visiting master teachers in all areas of the arts.
